YL= R.A.T. (What Gretchen talked about tonight at club)

Hey everyone! This is Gretchen. Thanks for coming to YL tonight. We hope you felt welcomed!  We are so excited and ready for you to be a part of a year like never before at Northwest!

Young Life is about 3 things:

Relationships 

You will meet new people. You could even meet your best friends, or husband. (find your hub at club, meet yo wife at Young Life). You will build relationships that don’t just end in high school, they could be in your wedding one day. At YL we love to be with each other, and we love doing life together!

Adventure 

You will get to do things you may have never imagined you would do before. We will go to fall camp, summer camp, and other trips throughout the year. Every Monday night will be different and crazy fun!

Truth 

We want club to be so much fun for you, we want you to sing your hearts out, we want you to do unthought of things, but we more than anything, we want you to know truth. The truth that there is one relationship that is waiting to change your life. It has completely changed each of your leaders lives, and we want you to experience it.

We're convinced that if you really get to know Jesus, you will fall deeply in love with Him.

Jesus is God. Yes crazy right?

-God in a Bod

-God with skin on

-The visible expression of an invisible God.

Matthew 1:23 “Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel.” (which means, God with us)

-God was born into this world.

-He came with a plan and a purpose to give himself to and for us.

John 1:14 Christ became human flesh and lived among us. We saw His shining-greatness. This greatness is given only to a much-loved Son from His Father. He was full of grace and truth. 

-The creator of the endless oceans, the creator of YOU... became human.

-People saw him, people touched him, people hung out with him.

-His 12 Disciples (best friends) chose to worship Him. Why?

-They must have seen that he was actually who He claimed to be. He was the living God. Tenderness, power, truth and love manifested in one man.

It is hard to believe Jesus was actually God. It is crazy.

But is it crazier that the creator of ALL things humbled himself and came to earth as a man to hang out with people who would hate him and betray him? I think that is pretty crazy.

This year we invite each of you to get to know Jesus and see a glimpse of who He really is. 

We want to walk alongside of you on this journey!
