ManTrip: The Sequel


A pic from last year's ManTrip. 
The freshly graduated senior men will head out this Wednesday for ManTrip: The Sequel.  If you're going, here are all the details you need.

Meet on Wednesday morning at 7:30am at The Church at Edgefield. You should have already turned in your health & consent form along with $45, but if not, bring those Wednesday morning.

Bring a bag lunch for us to eat on top of the mountain on Wednesday and a snack for the car ride. 

Also, bring an additional $20 cash for meals on the road (Wed dinner, Thur lunch, Sat dinner) and $15 cash to help with additional expenses. So bring $35 cash total. ($80 for 4 full days and 11 meals ain't too shabby.)

What To Bring
-You can bring your mobile phones but we won't have service at Carolina Point. 
-$35 additional cash for 3 road meals and general expenses) 
-bag lunch for Wednesday hike
-water bottle
-2 milk gallons or 2 two-liters, filled with tap water (EVERYONE BRING THESE)
-eno or sleeping pad
-sleeping bag
-pillow
-bible/notebook 
-rain jacket
-swim suit
-work gloves
-jeans to work in
-extra shoes for mud
-Bug spray
-Centrinella candles (if u have them)
-lanterns (if u have them)
-headlamp/flashlight
-hiking boots
-towel
-pocket knife
-camping chair (optional)
-toothbrush/paste
-deodorant
-daypack (backpack will work)
-water shoes (old shoes or tight fitting sandals)
-shorts/t-shirts
-hat/bandana
-socks
-plastic bags for wet clothes
-fishing equipment (optional)
-snacks to share (if your mom sends brownies, you get bonus points)

The Schedule

Wednesday
7:30-meet at Edgefield
12:00- hike Looking Glass (bag lunch)
4:00- The Hole (need swim suits)
6:00- Eat dinner on the road
8:00- set up camp site at Pond Shelter
9:00- Cabin time
10:00- Capture the flag
11:30- Late night antics

Thurs
8:00- breakfast at pond shelter
8:30- Time alone with God
9:00- depart for Turtleback
1:00- Lunch on the road
3:00- back to Pond Shelter
5:00- dinner at Carolina Point, kickoff of 'Work Week'
7:00- Club with 30 other folks who came to serve at  Work Week
10:00- back to the Pond Shelter for 'cabin time'

Friday
-Eat all meals down at Carolina Point dining hall
-work all day
-club at night

Saturday
-pack up and clean up at Pond Shelter
-breakfast at CP dining hall
-work during morning
-lunch at CP dining hall
-work another hour or so
-depart for Greensboro between 2-3pm
-dinner on the road
-arrive to GSO by 8pm
